What is Aldfaer?

Aldfaer (Frisian for grandfather) is a free genealogical research software for Windows. Aldfaer captures all family tree data and is, as far as I am concerned, the most suitable programme for capturing your family tree data.

In the beginning, you will encounter questions regarding the use of this program. I advise you to register yourself at the Aldfaer forum which you can access via this link. Registration and advice is free of charge on this forum.

Personal assistance in Aldfaer

Should you need personal support in using the Aldfaer program, I offer my services.

I offer the following services:

  • Support by email:where I answer your questions using illustrations
  • Personal support: I receive you at my home, where I answer your questions over a cup of coffee and a biscuit

It is important that you bring your own laptop with the Aldfaer programme installed.

For a small group of up to 3 people, I am happy to organise the ‘How does Aldfaer work?’ workshop.
