My approach

If you wish to use my services, I need some primary data in order to start the research. Taking Dutch privacy laws into account, these details should relate to a father, grand- or great-grandfather of whom I need - as completely as possible - the surname, full birth names, as well as the place and date of birth. This person must have been born before 1924 and already deceased.

Additional data regarding the specified person will significantly increase the chances of success. You can think of the following data:

  • Name and birthplace
  • Place and/or date of marriage
  • Birth name and/or full birth name of partner
  • Place and/or date of death

A preliminary survey will be carried out by me without any obligation. Then, based on the information obtained, I will consult with you to discuss the possibilities. You can find these options under the services offered at the top of the screen.

Services

We will consult with you in which we determine which form you prefer. You can choose from the following services Patrilineal line (Patrilineal form), Maternal line (Matrilineal form) or the somewhat more extensive form, Ancestral chart listing your ancestors (from both paternal and maternal sides) up to the 5th generation.

The ancestral chart can be increased with each generation, doubling the number of ancestors. I always offer this possibility and the associated costs in advance by mutual agreement.

Pricing

Transparency is very important to me in the services I offer. For this reason, I have chosen not to charge an hourly rate. The prices to be charged for the various services depend on the following:

  • Type of the research (do you opt for a summary form or the more extensive form?)
  • The research findings (how far back in time do we go?)
  • Any additional costs (does your research require physical visits to an archive?)

If it is necessary to physically visit archives, additional charges will apply. These are travel costs, copying costs and a flat fee per half-day session.
We will charge these additional costs only after consulting with customer.
